Crisp County Heavy Wrecker Technical Rescue Training for Responders

Who Should Attend: firefighters, EMS personnel, law enforcement, towers, DOT, EMA, and coroners.

Please join us as South Georgia Spill Response, LLC and ABC Wrecker and Recovery, LLC, two heavy-wrecker towing services in your region, demonstrate their capabilities. This training was developed as a way for responders to know the capabilities of their towing partners and how they can be a resource for incidents involving commercial vehicles and entrapments. This training will review incident command and equipment and capabilities provided by South Georgia Spill Response, LLC and ABC Wrecker and Recovery, LLC. It will conclude with multiple scenarios where responders learn how to utilize specialized equipment to hook up to commercial vehicles and the communication and coordination needed between responders and towers on the scene.

Topics covered will include:

• Incident command
• On-scene communication and coordination
• Tow company fleet and capabilities
• Tow company loose equipment
• Training received by heavy wrecker operators
• Multiple scenarios

Time: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

There will be a one-hour lunch break.

Lunch will be provided.
