On behalf of the TIME Task Force, we extend our warmest congratulations to GDOT’s 511 Georgia (511GA) program on reaching the milestone of 17 years of dedicated service. May 11 marks a significant occasion as we celebrate “511GA Day” in recognition of its unwavering commitment to road and highway safety.
511GA Day was established to raise awareness about the invaluable services 511GA provides to travelers, transportation agencies, and emergency personnel. It’s also a time to express gratitude to the dedicated team members who work tirelessly to ensure Georgians reach their destinations safely. This steadfast dedication to providing essential information and resources to travelers has undoubtedly played a pivotal role in enhancing transportation safety across the state.
Since its launch in 2007, 511GA has been the #1 tool for real-time traffic and travel information in the state, assisting more than 15 million travelers. With its enhanced mobile app, website, and phone system, 511GA delivers 24/7/365 road conditions and access to roadside assistance programs.
As we commemorate this special anniversary, we express our deepest gratitude for these invaluable contributions to our communities. Here’s to another successful year ahead, filled with continued innovation, growth, and achievements. Thank you for your exceptional service, and may the years ahead be filled with continued success and prosperity.
