On Friday, February 7 the TIME Task Force Board of Directors gathered at the Georgia Department of Public Safety office in Atlanta for the 2025 Strategic Planning Retreat. This retreat served as a time for them to acclimate new board members, review their goals and achievements from 2024, begin development of 2025 goals, and to plan out the TIM community’s goals and events for the upcoming year. The board discussed items such as their yearly budget, how Georgia is performing in traffic incident management (TIM) on the national level, and what committee-specific achievements they hope to see in the coming year.
As for our new board members, we want to welcome Kim Williams, GDOT TMC Manager, who joins the board as GDOT’s TMC Chair, and Tyrone McCord III of GDOT HERO, who joins as the board’s new Co-Chair. The former Co-Chair, Jason Josey of GDOT, remains on the board as GDOT’s Georgia TIM Chair after his promotion to Georgia Incident Management Program Manager.
Additionally, we want to welcome Nita Birmingham of GDOT, who is serving as the new Communications Committee Chair. We also want to welcome back Rodney Pickle of AECOM CHAMP, Requel Williams of AECOM TMC, and Chief Shaun Raulston of the City of Buena Vista Fire Department, who are returning as the Operations, Programs, and Training Committee Chairs respectively.
The Board of Directors is enthusiastic about working together this year and cannot wait to get involved with committee members and TIME Task Force members to continue enhancing TIM in Georgia.
