Monroe Fire will be hosting the next MONROE County Regional TIM Team Meeting on Monday, JANUARY 27TH from 10:30 am to noon for all local first responders and anyone involved in traffic incident management, county/public works, E911, towing and recovery and others responding to traffic incidents along Georgia roadways.
Traffic Incident Management (TIM) Coordination meetings help to enhance communication, cooperation and coordination for all responders. At this meeting, we will be discussing traffic incident management area coordination along with debriefing a recent incident (475NB to 75NB ramp fuel spill in December). Please feel free to share this meeting notice with other responders and decision-makers related to traffic response and coordination.
We will also be offering a 4-hour training block of SHRP2 Traffic Incident Management Training from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm for anyone who would like to attend. This training is free of charge and will discuss TIM Fundamentals, Scene Size-Up, Safe Vehicle Positioning, Scene Safety, Command Responsibility, and Traffic Management. This training has been endorsed by the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the International Association of Fire Chiefs, the National Volunteer Fire Council, the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials and the Towing and Recovery Association of America.
